How TaoAura He Xiang Zhu Beads Are Handmade

Every TaoAura He Xiang Zhu bead is made through a slow, hands-on process. These beads are not machine-molded plastic fragrance beads and are not sprayed with perfume. They are crafted from aromatic Chinese herbs, woods, flowers, roots, spices, and resins.

1. Selecting Aromatic Materials

Each formula begins with aromatic materials such as agarwood, sandalwood, rose, jasmine, clove, frankincense, myrrh, wormwood, angelica root, ginseng, citrus peel, and other botanical ingredients depending on the bead or bracelet design.

2. Sorting and Preparing

The raw materials are sorted to remove impurities and prepared so their natural aroma character can be preserved. This step helps keep the final scent clean, balanced, and recognizable.

3. Grinding and Sifting

The materials are ground into fine aromatic powder and sifted for a smoother texture. A finer powder helps create beads with a more refined surface and a more even scent release.

4. Blending the Formula

Different aromatic powders are blended according to the formula direction. Some formulas are built for calm wind-down, some for focus and clarity, some for warm vitality, and others for floral self-care or fresh-air rituals.

5. Hand-Kneading the Aroma Paste

The powder blend is mixed with natural binding materials and a small amount of purified water or botanical liquid, then hand-kneaded into a workable aroma paste. This step requires patience because the texture must be firm enough to shape but soft enough to roll smoothly.

6. Resting the Paste

The paste is rested so the aromatic powder, binder, and moisture can fully integrate. This helps reduce cracking and supports a smoother finished bead.

7. Hand-Rolling Each Bead

Each bead is shaped by hand. Roundness, density, and surface feel depend on controlled pressure, careful rolling, and repeated handwork.

8. Hand-Drilling and Natural Drying

The beads are drilled while still partially soft, then dried slowly in a shaded, ventilated environment. They are not force-dried, because rushing this step can weaken the bead or flatten the aroma.

9. Polishing and Aroma Resting

After drying, each bead is gently polished and rested so the scent becomes smoother and more settled. This gives the bead a more balanced aroma before it is strung into a bracelet or prepared for DIY kits.

10. Final Assembly or DIY Preparation

Complete bracelets are strung by hand. DIY bead kits include individual beads and basic assembly accessories so customers can enjoy the hands-on ritual of building their own bracelet at home.

Why This Process Matters

The slow handmade process helps preserve the natural aromatic character of the ingredients. It also gives each bead a more personal, tactile quality than mass-produced fragrance accessories.

Important Note

Because TaoAura beads are handmade with aromatic botanical materials, small differences in color, texture, and scent intensity are normal. These variations are part of the handmade character of He Xiang Zhu beads.
